What is The dragonbox led Art?

The dragonbox is 4 microchip-controlled levels of 4 x 4 LED grids (64 LEDs), arranged as a 3-dimensional cube. Each LED is like a pixel on a TV screen in that it can emit red, green, and blue light, or any mixture of the three. By mixing those 3 primary colors, the LEDs can make any visible color, including white. You may have seen larger LED cubes of the same type in high-end casinos, Las Vegas hotel lobbies, and urban night clubs.

What Does The dragonbox Art Do?

An internal microchip is pre-programmed to guide the LED Cube through varying patterns and displays of varying colors. Some patterns are one light zipping around inside the cube like a little comet; other patterns use all the LEDs and create the effect of motion by varying the colors of the LEDs; and other patters appear to be 3-D panels or cubes moving inside The Cube. The entire pattern show lasts for 30 minutes without repetition, and then automatically restarts.

Is The dragon box a Toy for Children?

NO. The dragonbox is for looking at, like a painting or a sculpture or a lava lamp, not for playing with. It is not built to be treated like a toy or handled roughly. The LED grid is supported by stiff wiring that can hold the weight of the LEDs, but not much else. (That's why there is a clear casing around it.) If it gets dropped, stepped on, poked at, or otherwise mistreated, it will easily break.

We recommend The dragonbox for people in their teens and older. It makes a unique conversation piece/decoration for a coffee table, bookshelf, waiting room, bar, bedroom, dorm room, or anywhere else you can think of.

Is The LED dragonbox Hard to Set Up and Operate?

All you do is plug it in, turn it on, and watch it do its thing! When you first take it out of the box, you will have to carefully remove the clear outer casing (no tools required), remove a cardboard brace that protects the LED grids during shipping, and replace the clear outer casing before you plug it in. It's very simple, but also very fragile and should be done with care.
